Constant-force Springs

Constant-force springs from KERN-LIEBERS fulfill different functions depending on the application.

Constant-force springs as torque generator

  • Width: 1.8 - 50 mm
  • Thickness: 0.05 - 1.0 mm
  • Material: texturized carbon and stainless steel
  • Up to 100 working turns
  • Lifetime up to 50,000 cycles, typical applications require 5,000 - 15,000 cycles
  • Different torque characteristics:
    PROGRA - ascending (PROgressive GRAdient)
    MIGRA - constant (MInimum GRAdient)
    NEGRA - descending (NEgative GRAdient)
  • Low to medium torque range, minimum hysteresis
  • 2-axis system with storage and working reel

Areas of application:
To generate torque for drive and retraction power such as for cable retractors, balancers, etc. >> more information
