Beginning of production at KERN-LIEBERS USA INC. in Toledo, Ohio - first step towards internationalization of the company.  

 1977

Dispensing technology division built up - company further diversified.
Production began at KERN-LIEBERS LTD. in Gainsborough, Great Britain.

 1978

Robert Drosten, MBA, becomes chairman of the board of directors.
Dr.-Ing. Hans-Jochem Steim becomes managing director.
Dr. Kurt Steim resigns from the board of directors after having been head of the business for 42 years and remains chairman of the board of advisors till his death in 1983.

 1981

Takeover of spring division of J.N. Eberle & Cie. GmbH Augsburg and foundation of J.N. Eberle Federnfabrik GmbH in Schwabmünchen.

1983

Takeover of the spring division of JUNGHANS in Schiltach-Lehengericht, Germany, and move to Sulgen.

 1986

Beginning of production at KERN-LIEBERS ESPANA S.A. in Barcelona, Spain.

 1987

Takeover of interest in the TECNOSET SRL. spring factory in Turin, Italy in several steps.

 1988

Beginnig of production at KERN-LIEBERS TEXAS INC. in McAllen, Texas USA and
RESORTES KERN-LIEBERS DE MEXICO S.A. DE C.V. in Rio Bravo, Mexico.

 1990

Production began at KERN-LIEBERS SOUTH AFRICA PTY. LTD. in Johannesburg, South Africa.

 1991

Dr. Hans-Jochem Steim, son of Dr. Kurt Steim, becomes CEO.
Beginning of production at KERN-LIEBERS K.K. in Kusatsu-Shi, Japan.

 1992

Beginning of production at KERN-LIEBERS KOREA LTD. in Kwangmyung, Korea.

 1993

Beginning of production at KERN-LIEBERS TAICANG CO. LTD. in Taicang, China.

 1994

Takeover of AKRA knitting part production and KERN-LIEBERS CR SPOL SRO. founded in Ceske Budejovice, the Czech Republic.

 1995

Beginning of production at KERN-LIEBERS THAILAND CO. LTD. in Tambon Huaypong, Thailand.

Share´s acquired in STUMPP, SCHÜLE & SOMAPPA LTD. in Bangalore, India.
